About Us
The Christadelphians have been in the Brantford and Brant County area for over one hundred years. In 2011, a second congregation was established as the Brant County Ecclesia, located at our current address, 8 Leonard Street.
The Brant County Ecclesia has no paid ministry; instead we rely on the congregation to work together in service to God and one another.
Our mission is to:
-
Learn about God’s plan for the world through his Word, the Bible
-
Strengthen one another to carry on pushing towards God’s coming Kingdom on Earth
-
Behave like Christ at all times
-
Teach others about the incredible Truth found in the Scriptures
We are not perfect people, but we try. It makes us all the more grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us.
With that said, we do our very best to encourage each other and share our excitement about the Bible and the coming Kingdom.
Please don’t hesitate to send us a message to learn more or drop in before (or after!) one of our services!

Our Beliefs
The Christadelphian beliefs are based on the scriptures of God. Below is a brief summary of what we believe:
-
God is all powerful and created the world to reflect his glory.
-
Jesus Christ is the son of God and son of Man.
-
Christ overcame the tendency to sin, dying on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the Earth to raise the saints to everlasting life and establish God’s kingdom of righteousness and peace.
-
Baptism is a commitment to serve God and reflect His glory. This requires a correct understanding of the Bible’s message.
-
Jesus commanded us to preach this good news of the Gospel to all the world.

History
The origins of our denomination can be traced back to the 19th century. A man named John Thomas, after a period of study and questioning, developed a distinct understanding of the scripture's that challenged mainstream Christian doctrines prevalent at the time. He emphasized the importance of a correct interpretation of scripture, and sought to restore what he believed were the original teachings and practices of the first century believers in Christ.
We do not consider John Thomas to be infallible or view him as a founder in the traditional sense. We prioritize the authority of scripture as the basis of our understanding.
The name "Christadelphian" itself means "brothers and sisters in Christ," reflecting our belief in the importance of fellowship and shared commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible as a whole.
Today, Christadelphians can be found worldwide, and our commitment to biblical study, personal discipleship, and the anticipation of the return of Jesus Christ remains central to our faith.
